Shampoo Sculptures

I love playing around with the kids hair during their bathtime. This weekend, I grabbed the camera to get a shot of Aydan's punk shampoo hair. Kendall says he looks like a dinosaur...that's a 4 year old for you...seeing things in a different light. I really love how this picture came out of Aydan. What an angel!

Anyway, I've already planned my scrap layout for this pic so hopefully I can work on it this weekend. American Idol is taking me away from my scraptime during the week!!!

Happy Valentines Day

Today was great because Kendall got to really celebrate Valentine's Day. She took her cards to school and put them in the other kids mailboxes. Then she came home with a bag of her own. I made this card from all of us and Kendall got to give it to her Daddy.

Snow Day

Well, we were stuck inside today with another mini blizzard. I tried to go to work...even got several miles into my commute and it just started getting more windy and dangerous...so I turned around, came home, and hung out with the kiddies. Kendall went sledding too. Got some pics of the snow and some cute ones of Aydan again. He was wearing this "rock on" t-shirt that he looks so cute in...and then I tried to put on this black cap. He looks like he's trying to be a tough guy, but the binky kinda of spoils that! He wouldn't keep the hat on for me so it was hard to get good pics. Then later on he lost his binky, so he used a pot lid from Kendall's kitchen set and sucked on the lid handle, what a goof! That's him with the big silver circle on his face!

Second Post Today

I had to post these pics of the kids I took today. Aydan with his baby blues and Kendall, who fell asleep on the chair just before we were heading out to dinner.

Kendall's 4th b-day

Well Kendall's b-day party was on Feb. 4-The Superbowl-and I've been way too busy and tired to post some pics. These are pics of her first through 4th b-day parties. Kendall had her first "kids" birthday party at our park district. She had a blast! She is really growing up!

{Nothing}

Whew...I have a three day weekend! I haven't had much time off from work and I really needed this. I've done two pages this weekend and I'll probably start on some v-day cards for all my boyfriends-LOL! I've been so busy with work, the students just came back from break and we've been really busy in our department.
Kendall is at a b-day party with Daddy and the baby sleeping...what to do...what to do...I couldn't decide to scrap or nap. I had too much Starbucks this morning, so I scrapped. I gotta get busy with Kendall's b-day party planning. Her party is next weekend and I just booked the place yesterday! I'm a bad mom. Usually I'm a person who plans everything ahead, I just can't make up my mind these days. Well, I'm gonna go back to my scrapping...no football this weekend, yeah!!!

Bear Are Going to the Superbowl

I can't believe its happening!!! Are the Bears really going to the Superbowl????Early in the season I was asking Ozan if it was possible. He said it was but he never likes to try and predict those things! I'm glad they are playing the Colts though. I'm sure most Bears fans feel that way.
My students come back from their holiday break tomorrow...they get like 6 weeks off. A bit too long for me, so I am going to be pretty busy this week. I didn't do much this weekend because its cold outside and I'm tired. I did make this page though...have a good week everyone.

Big Day Tomorrow

So tomorrow is the big game against New Orleans...I will probably be scrapping...hee hee. Ozan is already planning out his game food!! I worked on this page this afternoon.

Almost 4

Can you believe I have to start planning Kendall's fourth b-day? She is really growing up and she has really blossomed into a little lady. We went to go see "Charlotte's Web" today (think of the movie "Babe") and Kendall loved it. I loved that book as a child and read it a million times. I did this page today to document the things that describe her.

Happy New Year

I'm so happy because I was supposed to be at work on New Years at 6AM and someone picked up my shift for me-yeah. We had a not-so-quiet dinner at home...we never do! Ozan made lobster tails and filet! I was full just eating the lobster.
No plans tonight...I will be in bed when midnight hits and that's OK with me. I scrapped this page tonight so I'm as happy as can be. And tomorrow I get to sleep in...yeah!!! Happy New Years everybody!!!

Happy Holidays

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas. I worked Christmas Even and was supposed to work New Year's Day at 6:00 AM, but one of my co-worker's picked it up for me-yeah! I'm sure Ozan will be glued to the TV watching football. For New Year's Eve my plans are to get to bed early. Thats a good night for me.
I did a LOT of scrapping this past weekend. I took advantage of Aydan's three hour naps! I finished up a mini book of Aydan's favorite things. Scrapped a page of the kiddies, Christmas card photos, and did my first page of my dog-sorry for the delay Chloe. I've been scrapping for almost 4 years and I waited that long! I'm bad. I also made a Christmas thank you card that was fun to do.
OK, everyone please be safe for New Years...seriously. Don't go on the road if you have to and take your time driving home. Stay at someone's house if you can. Watch out for the drunk drivers. I see all that bad stuff at my job and trust me, the drunks get less injured...go figure.

Another Page of Aydan

I had fun with this one. Did this one in 45 minutes because I rarely get any time to scrap now days. Life is so super crazy and busy now! I posted these pics a few months back of Aydan on the eve before his first B-day. He is 16 months tomorrow...can you believe it? Kendall turns 4 on February 4th-Superbowl Sunday nevertheless!

Holiday Pics

I tried...really tried...to get some shots for our Christmas cards. It is nearly impossible to get the kids to both hold still and look at the camera for even a second. These were the ones I choose for our cards. Kendall does not like to smile sometimes for the camera, but she is always smiling when I'm not taking pics. Go figure!

Snow Day

We had our first significant snow today, and it hit hard! I took this picture of Aydan in his PJ's this morning looking at his first snow through the window. Later on (after 30 minutes of dressing the three of us in winter gear!!), I took the kids outside for a sled ride. I went down the small hill in our yard and I couldn't pull them back up. They are 60 lbs total! But we only lasted about 15 minutes because it was like 20 degrees outside. You should of seen Aydan when I put his snowsuit on, he looked like that kid from "Christmas Story" who fell down and couldn't get up. That was totally him-he couldn't move at all!
Ozan was in Las Vegas this past week for a conference and his plane was supposed to leave this morning, but it was cancelled. He was able to take a later flight and should be home any time now. Can you believe Christmas is 24 days away??

Loss of my Great Aunt

My Great Aunt Georgia passed away last Tuesday and it really shook our family up. She was the core of our Christmases and loved the holidays and birthdays. She was 80 years old. Here is a picture of her holding my Kendall 3 years ago. Georgia loved pictures of her friends and family. You never saw her without a camera and she never forgot a birthday. I can't believe she is not here anymore. A lot of her friends, family, and church members came to the wake and funeral and they couldn't say enough nice things about her. We're going to miss you!
Kendall is really sick now. She had a strep throat a week ago and on Saturday, she had a small temp before bed. Last night, I went in to check on her in bed and her temp was 104.7! We were really scared because that can be quite dangerous. She was so weak and pale and hot. We called the doc and gave her some more Tylenol and a cool bath. Within the hour, she was down to 101, but if it hadn't gone down, we would of had to take her to the hospital. She has never been that sick! We didn't get much sleep last night.
...tonight I took her in to the ER cause her temp rose up again to 104. They said its a virus. Poor girl!
I've had a rough week!!

Dig

OK, I'm really, really trying to get caught up with my scrapping because the holidays are almost here so I will be making holiday cards for a long time!! I did this layout because Aydan is starting to learn how to walk and when he balances himself, his toes dig into the ground. They are edible!

Pics from Germany

My brother, Mike, is in Germany with his fiance Terra for a few weeks and is coming home tomorrow. She speaks fluent German, so that helps! These are some of the places they saw. It is so beautiful. The castle is what inspired the Cinderella castle at Disney. The picture with the car in front of the palace is Wuertzburg, where they did a tour. The other picture is Salzburg.

Aydan's Walking

Aydan starting taking a step or two early this past week and has really progressed! He is walking several feet now and he looks totally adorable. I love that cute, unbalanced, walk...then PLOP...he falls on his tooshie. That's why they make diapers so padded! What a cutie. I just finished this page about his first haircut, he was about 10 months old in this pic. Have a great week everybody!

Halloween

I've been so crazy busy this week that I am beat! Friday nights, for me, is to recover from the past week!! So that's why I haven't posted the Halloween pics yet. Ozan's watching the movie "Saw" right now, so I am as far away as possible right now from the TV-I hate those movies!!
Anyhow, here is Kendall as a kitty and Mr Aydan as Mickey Mouse. They were so cute! Aydan couldn't stand right, I guess the costume threw him off balance.
