Week 16 (eeek!)

We had a very fun filled week here for my 365...lots of stuff going on. Spring has sprung a bit late here so when it does come, we really take it all in. Just this past week everyones trees were blooming flowers, tulips coming up, its finally here! And we actually reached the 80's on Friday!
On with week 16...

Sun, April 19: Kendall went to one of her classmates birthday party at a place called "Pump It Up"...just a place full of inflatable fun.

Mon, April 20: Aydan got a couple of new cars from Daddy...he is the guilty one of spoiling the kids to death!

Tues, April 21: Our first bloomin flowers on our tree. So pretty!

Wed, April 22: (this was actually Thursday, but we'll pretend). Today is "Bring Your Child to Work Day". Employees bring their children to the hospital and there are group tours given with some chaperones. One of the stops is radiology, which is my field, and we show them some fun xrays and I teach them a bit about the basics.
Thurs, April 23: I scored some free tickets to the Cubs game. The director of my department has season tickets and she gives some to me once in a while. I asked Ozan to take Kendall. It is always about 15 degrees colder in the city, thus the winter gear. LOL!
Friday, April 24: Ozan was the parent reader today at Kendall's kindergarten. I gave him a camera with a warning that I must get pics. LOL. Her teacher, who knows I'm a cameraholic, took some for me :)
Sat, April 25: First day of t-ball and I missed it :( Aydan had a fever so I had to stay home with him.

Thats it for now. Hopefully I'll get some much needed scrapping time tonight!

Week 15: Project 365 and some projects

Made some Mother's Day Cards this week. I embossed the cardstock that is on the upper part of the card and added some Versamark Shimmer to it. Hard to see here. And I pulled out some super-old Chatterbox patterned paper...the journaling spots are some new Anna Griffin.

And I wanted a way to keep my published card but also a way to remember it. This LO was super fast. Had to use some SEI Twitterpattered, one of my favorite lines ever.

Then the next two cards from some lifts from May's Card Magazine.
This one is for my Grandma, who's been really sick for a long time. May is her b-day, anniversary (62nd I think), and its Mother's Day. This will be for her Mother's Day card.
I used some of the new Just Chillin line from Making Memories. I love it against the brown. "Grandma" are from American Crafts...it comes in a big match folder with tons of letters on itty bitty stickers. Cute! I also added some American Crafts rub ons to the chipboard swirl.
The second one is for a co-workers wedding in June, but we've having a shower in May sometime. Used my cuttlebug for the embossing and put it on some blue shimmer paper from Paper Studio.
Now with week 15:
Easter Sunday: We pretty much stayed home and had our own egg hunt. Daddy made dinner that night.

Monday, Apr 13: Kendall's t-ball practice.

Tuesday, Apr 14: Daddy playing catch with Aydan. Tried to get a good sunset pic, will have to work on that!

Wednesday, Apr 15: Kendall signing her t-ball banner at practice.
Thurs, Apr 16: At the park...
Fri, April 17: A DQ Star treat after school.
Saturday, Apr 18: Kendall's t-ball parade. Yes, it finally got warmer :) A perfect day here.

Week 15: Project 365 and a Fun Project to Share

I have had this Making Memories photo cube for a while. Today I decided that I would get it done no matter what. Its going on my desk at work so I decided to go with an office theme. I covered the box with cork contact paper and used a bunch of Making Memories "Noteworthy" papers and embellies. I like how it came out!
this is just a view from the top and side. I covered the bottom square with the cork and left it blank.

I wanted the top to have a frame so it would look unique. i also used a definition transperancy over the photo and added a frame and some ribbon, tag, and a charm. The charm is flipped up in this picture. Not supposed to look like that.
I added a lot of felt as well. There is supposed to be a button on that second star. It fell off!
Also added some noteworthy journaling book pages and cut them to size. The buttons are tied with some jute.
Another view from the top. I gotta add that you can get the cork paper by the roll at Michaels in the art section. Its nice because it already has adhesive on the back and it sticks very well. I also suggest that you cut it with a craft knife. I used scissors at first and it leaves a rough edge.
Supplies Used:
Photocube, Paper, transperancies, frame, journaling pages, paper flowers, ribbon, staples, epoxy letters, charm: Making Memories
Cork Paper: Contact
Felt: Fancy Pants Design
Buttons: Hero Arts
and now to the photos for week 15...
Sun, April 5: Kendall went to Anthony's birthday party. They are the best of friends and have known each other since they were three...they go to school together.
Mon, April 6: Tonight Aydan asked to sleep in Kendall's bed...i let him but now its becoming a habit. I don't mind but they each have their own room. It is cute though. Yes, and Aydan is addicted to his Cars again...has to hold them all the time.
Tues, April 7: Our tree by our house...it finally has buds on it. Hopefully spring will decide to make its appearance here soon!
Wed, April 8: I really didn't feel like taking Kendall to the birthday party Sunday so Ozan made a deal with me. I take her and he would finish up painting my scraproom. This picture really can't capture how nice it looks. I am using this small part of the counter for my cuttlebug and my Slice stuff. My printer is below that counter. Its really big!
Thurs, April 9: My kids go to an early education school at the college my husband works at. A police officer made a scheduled appearance to Aydan's classroom to show them about his job and they even got to sit in the police car. This happened at the end of their day, so Aydan was wiped out and fell asleep on the way home. Ozan brings them to and from school. When he pulled up at the house, he ran inside and yelled, "Carla get your camera"...he knows that I love to capture this stuff! {note the car in the hand again} And I love how his lips look pouty when he sleeps.

Fri, April 10: Kids just "hanging around" in the backyard. Yes, we are still in winter coats! Ugh!

Sat, April 11: This was an easy day for my project...coloring Easter eggs! Have a great Easter!

Week 14: 365 Project

Here is Week 14's pictures:
Sun, Mar 29: Kendall at Abby's 6th birthday party. They had a gymnastics party. I tried taking a picture of the two of them but then this unknown girl jumped in...
Mon, March 30: First practice of t-ball this season. This is Kendall's 2nd season and I think its her favorite sport so far. Yes, winter gear here...it was 38 degrees out!
Tues, March 31: This was taken just after we all got home from work/school. Ozan and I have had this cold thing going on and he has the worst of it with an ear infection. He crashed on the couch and Aydan was trying to snuggle with him. Aydan has a very bad case of hat hair here!
Wed, April 1: Aydan has this thing for measuring tape. He loves to get a hold of my sewing one and he plays with it...even wrapping it around Lightning McQueen.
Thurs, Apr 2: Aydan loves to put my shoes on (again)...think I took a picture like this a bit ago. It came out super blurry so I made it b/w
Fri, Apr 3: Daddy likes to spoil the kids and here you can see that this guy had a blue lollipop...it brings out his eyes, doesn't it??

Sat, Apr 4: Our chalkboard in our kitchen. The kids have to stand on a chair to use it. I wrote the "backpack" word because Kendall kept saying "packback" and I wrote it so she could sound it out. She also wrote the "Saturday" and "Sunday" there. Its cute, isn't it?

And this is what my blog background is supposed to look like. I just looked at my blog from a different monitor...we have a wide screened one in the basement and I can see the scallops. Otherwise they are cut off on a normal width one.
And FINALLY: Go here http://twosheepgreetings.blogspot.com/2009/04/anniversary-blog-candy.html they have a giveaway...you have until Sunday night! Hurry!
